Trip to Taipei

During the early morning of Valentines day, Col, Aidan and myself flew out of Melbourne to my home town Taipei. Poor Aidan cried all the way on the plane because there were a lot of turbulence and he was moved in and out of the bassinet continuously.

My first boarding pass...

Me and mummy's cuddle buddy neck pillow

Mummy, there are koi in the pond (Singapore airport)

In Taipei Airport...

After we arrived in Taipei, we were all exhausted from the lack of sleep. The whole family passed out and slept like a log. The entire trip was rather hectic and tiring. Col who came down with a flu before the trip was running a fever for about 8 days. He was still a good sport and put up with all sorts of things.
Below is what happened on the trip..

Day 2. Visiting the paternal great grandma and relos

Breakfast at the hotel.. The buffet had some cocktail sausages which were yellow in colour.. which were very very tasty

Meeting great grandma and grand aunt.. a little bit stressed because there are too many people around

Try again with mummy this time..

With grandma, grandpa and another grand aunt

With great grandma

playing with cousins

day 3. Visiting maternal great grandma

With the other great grandma

With 2nd grand aunty

Outside great grandma's house

In 101 building in front of this multicolour cow with grand uncle and aunty
Day 4. resting day.. Col was too sick, so we only went out to eat during meal times
Ding Tai Fung at Sogo.. xiao long bao.. Yummy
Strolling through the Sogo supermarket...

Day 5. Yang Ming mountain
The 2009 Yang Ming flower show starts next week..

My favourite... Cherry blossoms

Day 6. to the Taipei Zoo.. It took us 5 LONNNNNNG hours to walk through ~_~

The zoo had pebble path and was mostly up hill.. so it was quite tiring to push the pram on pebble surface.

Our 10 seconds with the panda.. yes it was literally 10 seconds because there were a great amount of people wanting to see the 2 pandas. We were ushered by the traffic controller to hurry up and walk pass..

In 10 seconds.. we got a crotch lick, bum scratch and bamboo eating display..

I can be a Panda too..

Day 7. Off to 101
This is a crossing in front of 101 where all the traffic lights on all sides would turn red altogether and the pedestrians can make diagonal crossing to the other side.. (I was very fascinated and very much a dag because I've never seen one before)
Our very delicious jap lunch at Daikanyama

Out on the observatory deck of level 91.. It was very windy and coldInside with one of the Damper babies..
Day 8. General Shopping and relaxing day..

babies can be carried in a baby bjorn and apparently dogs have something similar in Taiwan too..

Day 9. Lucheon with maternal great grandma and other relos.
Day 10. Adios Taipei
