mmm.. finger licking good....

From a few weeks after birth till now, Aidan has developed a minor case of cradle cap (aka cradle crap from Mich, it is indeed crappy to deal with). His scalp is crusty and flaky. After googling remedies and found that many parents have suggested that by putting olive oil or sorbolene cream on their baby's head then brush with a soft brush and wash with shampoo, they've managed to cure their baby's cradle crap. We've decided to marinate Aidan in sorbolene cream, but had skipped the brushing bit because as a crazy paranoid mother, I fear that it might rip his skin off. So.. after many days of marinating, smelling like rotten veggie, and looking extremely greasy (by the way the greasiness reminded us of this mattress salesman in Boxhill shopping centre. Please feel free to check him out. He is located near the Target store). Aidan's cradle crap seems to have eased a little. Needless to say, we became lazy and thought the crap might disappear by itself and hence, stopped marinating his poor scalp. Lo and behold.. the crap came back more crusty and more flaky then ever! Yesterday during the shopping run we've picked up a bottle of J&J baby oil to try try again and this time we won't slack off. Why not olive oil you asked? Once again as a crazy paranoid mother who doesn't like a smelly son, I fear it might fuel his rotten veggie smell.
